I’m in Taiwan for 7 days. I thought I’ll share with you a picture a day. I am from Singapore so you may enjoy the same way I do if you’re too. 🙂

Day 1

This is at Huashan 1914 Creative Park. Pretty cool place, a lot of artsy stuff. I got acquainted to this gigantic rabbit Miffy.

Opening hours are from 10:00 am – 9:00 pm.

Day 2

I went to Shifen waterfall:

Really beautiful waterfall. More interested in the journey then the actual waterfall. There is major construction works when I was there which is such a bummer. Still worth going as it is near here that you can set off lanterns to the skies clearly an environmental hazard. I did that so I will shut up.

Day 3

Don’t miss a night market. There are so many in Taiwan! Most of the night markets are kinda the same to me, lots of food. It isn’t that cheap, prepare to spend around SGD 20 (USD 16) eating random snacks. Totally worth visiting though:

The above is Shi Lin, one of the more famous night markets.

Day 4

We went to Yehliu Geopark:

There are these incredible rock formations. I enjoyed this trip despite the long walking under the record hot sun.

Day 5

I was hoping to understand Taiwan history more and went to one of the attractions called Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. You can’t do that there. There is this cool dinosaur exhibition there, though. Not sure how it’s related.

I love the surroundings though. It wasn’t too hot that day and I was able to capture some nice pictures and enjoy the place. I probably won’t heard back.

Day 6

Second last day, I went to Dan Sui or Tamsui, it’s all the way at the end of the red line. Lots of food to eat there but the highlight is that it is near the shore line so expect fresher seafood.

Day 7

Final day, I got attracted by the white bittergourd drink. I wouldn’t say it is nice but there’s a queue and the Singaporean beacon in me lit up with excitement. The queue prove absolutely regrettable:

You should try it too, for novelty’s sake.

If you’re interested in food only, don’t be disappointed, I’ll write more on that.
